Sick Days

For the most part Logan and I have a daily routine. Waking up around 8, breakfast around 9, nap time around 10:30-11:00...ect. It's honestly quite nice for me to have a schedule. I'm not an organized person and it keeps me on track. Well throw in a sick child with a high fever an everything is in chaos.

I seriously feel like I'm back in the first few weeks after bringing him home! Of course him getting better is our main focus, as it should be but I have to admit I have missed this sweet little face sound asleep on my chest! Excuse my shirt, he likes to hold onto the collar.

My poor kid went from fine to a high fever in just a few hours. The dr said it was just a virus and had to run its course. So my past few days have been totally about Mr.Baby! So much so that I'm sitting here realizing just how behind on dishes and laundry I am and when is the last time I had a shower? Motherhood is not pretty sometimes! Sniffing a shirt..smells ok I guess I can keep wearing it! You know you've don't it too, don't judge me. Haha!

Bath time has been the only time the past few days where he wasn't crying, it was great play time!

I'm so thankful that after 3 days of not feeling well Logan is finally doing better. He has been squirming out of my lap to go play, as long as I'm not too far away he's ok! I have loved having my little man all to myself but I am so thankful he is doing better!!

I am so looking forward to a glass of wine tonight after he goes to bed! This momma needs some time to unwind!!

How do you guys survive when your baby is sick? Any tips or tricks for me?

Reading

I love reading!! As a child I read anything I could get my hands on and by the time my teenage years hit I was reading mulitple books at a time. Fast forward ten years and here I am wondering what the last book was I even tried to begin, let alone finish!

I've decided I need to take the time to read, even if it's just one chapter a day. Something just for me!

So to start my reading journey I've decided to read "Growing up Duggar: it's all about relationships" By: Janna, Jill, Jessa and Jinger Duggar.

I love this family!! The TV show is one of my absolute favorites. My husband says he doesn't like it but he sits down and watches all the episodes with me! Shh don't tell..haha! Well, now to get off the internet and to use Logan's naptime for some momma reading time!

Do you guys have any book suggestions for me? I need a reading list!

The glow and tell challenge

So since having my son I've noticed my skin isn't the same. I was getting skin discoloration around my eyes and my face was oily where it never was before.
One of my good friends sells Mary-Kay and she told me they were doing a 21-day challenge. Basically all you had to do was buy one of their skin care regimens and take photos of your skin every 3 days. Now you should know I am in no way affiliated or getting money for promoting this challenge. I just want to give you guys a peek into my life and I will give you a 100% honest review of the products.

I had never had a skin care regimen before. It was always just soap and water and I was lucky to never have many breakouts. I was totally on the fence about buying these products. I am normally so exhausted at night the LAST thing I want to do is wash my face. I finally decided, what the heck just try it. I figured at the least my skin would be better taken care of and there was a money back guarentee if I totally hated it.

So after discussing my skin issues and concerns my friend Kimmie recommended theTimeWise Miracle Set for normal/oily skin. I also got a eye firming cream for the darkness I have been getting around my eyes. These products also help with wrinkles and it's never too early to start preventing wrinkles!

These are my products.

I am currently on day 9 of the 21 days and I can honestly say I see a difference. Now, it isn't a total overnight transformation but it is slowly improving my skin. My skin feels smoother and is looking more refreshed. I've noticed around my eyes the darkness is slowly going away, yay!

Day 0

Day 3

Day 9

I hope I didn't bore you to death with my long post! I will be posting my results and opinions of the products as we go along.

Spring Days

I am absolutely loving this spring weather! Logan is able to go out and play and that thrills him to pieces! He is definitely going to make his momma be more active and that's a great thing! We played with the dogs in the back yard and he tried out his new outdoor chair he got for easter!

Logan and Helga, they are inseparable!

Look at that happy smile!

To force myself to become more active and get outisde my bubble I have decided we are going to plant a garden. It's going to be a small raised garden bed with just a few veggies, squash, green beans and tomatoes. I remember gardening with my Grandfather when I was a kid and how much I loved it. Not to mention what little boy doesn't love dirt! I just hope it goes well and I can grow things. I do not have a green thumb! As soon as we get the grass removed and the gardening box put together I will give you all the details.

Easter

So this was Logan's first Easter where he could open his own basket and enjoy the goodies! We decided to do Easter with just the three of us today and tomorrow we will see the whole family. It was a great day to go to the park and just enjoy being outside!

Here is Logan's Easter basket. (Daddy had to have a Ninja Turtle basket! We got him some coloring books, jumbo crayons, books and a stuffed animal. He also got peeps but I forgot to add that into the photo.)

Logan didn't know where to start!

So he just decided it was easier to dump it out. Haha

Daddy came to the rescue & helped him go through it all. (Charlie decided to photobomb!)

After opening our Easter basket and eating lunch we decided to go play at the park! I see a swing set in our near future!

Such an awesome day and we definitely created some memories today! I love holidays with my boys. Hope each and everyone of you had a wonderful Easter weekend! Let me know how you celebrated the holiday.

The first one!

How intimidating it is to write my first post! All I keep thinking is, what if no one reads this..or worse reads it and hates it! I've decided those what if's aren't enough to stand in my way! I am planning over the course of my blog to write all about my crazy life. I will tell you about my parenting wins (aka the week of the sippy cup transition) and parenting fails (yes I watched my child eat a piece of dog food)! My attempts at Pinterest ideas or recipes and my humorous attemps to organize my home. I am by no means perfect but our home is filled with lots of laughs and love that I cannot wait to share with you!
